1. Purpose

A friendly contest dedicated to Romanian-speaking operators worldwide, encouraging QSOs between YO/ER stations and the Romanian diaspora.

2. Date and duration

  • • Date: the last Sunday of May (yearly).
  • • Duration: 12 hours.
  • • Time: 08:00–20:00 Romania time (05:00–17:00 UTC).

3. Mode and language

  • • Mode: SSB only.
  • • Language: Romanian for exchanges and general operating.

4. Bands

  • • 40m
  • • 20m
  • • 15m
  • • 10m

WARC bands are not allowed. Please follow the IARU Region 1 band plan.

5. Power classes

  • • QRP: maximum 5W
  • • Low Power: maximum 100W
  • • High Power / QRO: above 100W (according to local regulations)

6. Entry categories

  • • Single Operator — All Bands
  • • Single Operator — Single Band (one log per band)

All categories are subdivided by power class (QRP / Low / High).

7. Exchange

  • • YO/ER stations: RS(T) + county/district (e.g., “59 BV”).
  • • Non‑YO/ER stations: RS(T) + “DX” (e.g., “59 DX”).

8. Scoring

No duplicate QSOs are allowed on the same band.

QSO points

  • • YO/ER ↔ YO/ER: 1 point (same county/district), 2 points (different county/district)
  • • YO/ER → DX: 8 points
  • • DX → YO/ER: 2 points
  • • DX ↔ DX: 6 points
  • • QRP → DX: 10 points per QSO

Multipliers (per station and band)

  • • For YO/ER stations: each YO county / ER district (once per band); each DX country counts as a ×2 multiplier (once per band).
  • • For DX stations: each YO county / ER district (once per band); each DX country different from the operator’s home country (once per band).

Final score = Total QSO points × Sum of multipliers (across all bands).

9. Overlays (optional)

  • • Youth: under 25 years old on contest day
  • • Expedition/Portable: operating away from your home QTH

10. Logging and log submission

  • • Log format: Cabrillo
  • • Submission: via the Upload page (or dedicated email, if published)
  • • Deadline: 7 days after the contest ends

11. Live score (optional)

Recommended platform: ContestOnlineScore.com. Live scoring is encouraged but not mandatory.

12. Awards

  • • PDF certificates for all stations that submit a valid log
  • • Physical plaques/trophies for selected winners (e.g., Top YO/ER, Top DX, Best QRP, Best Youth, Best Portable/Expedition)
